I got lucky to notice this insane sight while driving on 395 North across the Washinton Channel and decided to grab my gear and quickly come back to capture the sight. Definitely first time I’d even imagine seeing the frozen Potomac steam after a sudden spike of temperature from 7*F to 70*F in less than a week that made the river turn into a sauna. Another great proving grounds for 24-120mm f/4G VR, though I hardly shot wide open and any lens “will do” at f/8-11, so the extra reach to 120mm was very welcome.
